Built in South Africa
Built for vets who'd rather treat animals than fight software
DigiVet is modern, AI-powered practice management built from the ground up for South African veterinary clinics.
Born from a real problem
DigiVet was born from watching South African vets pay too much for foreign practice management software that didn't understand how local clinics actually work.
Reconciling bank statements meant printing PDFs and manually ticking off invoices for hours each month. Stock deliveries went missing because no one cross-checked supplier statements against what actually arrived. Client reminders went out over email and SMS — when every South African actually lives on WhatsApp. And when something broke, support was a ticket queue answered from a different time zone.
We knew there had to be a better way. So we built one — priced for South African practices, with the local tools vets actually need built directly in.
“We believe every vet should have access to modern, AI-powered practice management tools — without the enterprise price tag.”
Technology should make a vet's day easier, not harder. It should be priced for South African practices, backed by real local support, and built around the tools your clients actually use — like WhatsApp.
Built for how South African vets actually work
Not an import. Not a translation. Built here, for here.
Priced for SA Practices
Significantly cheaper than the international alternatives. Real South African pricing for South African clinics — without sacrificing the features you need.
AI Bank Reconciliation
Upload your bank statement as a PDF and our AI extracts every transaction, then matches it against your sales automatically. What used to take a day takes minutes.
WhatsApp Client Comms
Send invoices, appointment reminders and vaccination alerts straight to your clients on WhatsApp — and let them reply back to the clinic on the channel they actually use.
Never Miss a Statement
DigiVet tracks every bank statement and stock upload, flagging gaps before they become a problem. You'll always know your books and inventory are complete.
Our product philosophy
Every decision we make is guided by four principles.
Voice-First
Tap the mic, then capture sales and records by voice during consultations. Phone, tablet, or desktop — DigiVet works with whatever's nearest. Talk while you work — no typing, no catalogue searching, no walking back to a separate billing screen.
Mobile-First
Works on any device, any screen size. Whether you're in a consulting room or on a farm call, DigiVet goes where you go.
AI-Powered
Smart inventory management, automated vaccination reminders, intelligent product search, and AI-assisted record keeping. The software gets smarter so you don't have to work harder.
Independent
Not tied to any international platform, distributor, or vendor. Your data stays yours. No lock-in, no foreign dependencies, no surprises when exchange rates move.

A customer story
How Lifecare Veterinary Services halved their invoicing time
Before DigiVet, Lifecare Veterinary Services was using Digitail — and frustrated. “Not user friendly at all. Time consuming. Poor support.”
The switch happened quickly. Quick invoicing, quick statement reviews, and better clinic management were the immediate day-to-day wins. Within weeks, the numbers spoke: “Response on invoices from clients are quicker. Invoice payments are quicker.”
halved.
Plus automated statements, easier stock tracking, and poor payers easily identified.
“My turnover is higher and quicker, and my family time more.”
When we asked if a vet friend should switch, the answer was one word: Absolutely.
Another customer story
Why Cornerstone Veterinary Services isn’t going back to Digitail
Before DigiVet, Cornerstone Veterinary Services ran on Digitail. “It has fancy record keeping features,” the owner Dr. Helen Tiffin told us, “but inefficient accounting.”
For a mixed practice — where some clients pay on the spot and others run farm-visit accounts — that gap between records and money was the daily bottleneck.
The switch changed the books in ways that surprised them. Bank statements downloaded into DigiVet and matched client payments automatically. Syndicate-owned patients — farm animals split across partnerships — stopped being a billing nightmare. Bulk billing across multiple animals for the same procedure, even with multiple owners, became a single workflow instead of a stack of admin.
“Changing software has definitely made our lives easier, our business better and more time efficient.”
The change wasn’t just about the books. Dr. Donald MacRae, one of the practice’s equine vets, came from a different angle entirely. His frustration with Digitail was the clinical records — too many fields, many irrelevant to equine work, and no guarantee that different vets were recording things the same way.
With DigiVet, the protocols and templates became his favourite tool. “The templates for complex products, or protocols save a lot of time, and are a good check-list that everything has been billed.” But the real shift was simpler than any feature:
“A simpler, more user friendly program makes me way more motivated to keep up to date with invoicing. I used to leave it all for the end of the month!!”
But the moment that sticks with the team isn’t about bookkeeping at all. It’s about the hardest conversations a vet has to have.
in under a minute.
So clients don’t have to wait at reception while they’re grieving.
That’s from Rianne Van Wyk, one of the Cornerstone vets. “A big one is during euthanasia cases. The bill can be done in less than a minute, so clients don’t have to wait and can have more time and space to process everything.”
“It just makes our day-to-day work a lot smoother and less stressful.”
And from the practice-management seat, Alexandra van As — who handles the day-to-day admin at Cornerstone — saw the change from a different angle entirely. For her, the Digitail pain wasn’t records or accounting. It was the support, and the constant updates.
“Customer service was extremely poor. We would wait days to get something sorted out, if at all. Constant updates — as soon as you knew how something worked, it would change.”
On DigiVet, that flipped. “On the odd moment when something doesn’t work the way it should, it gets sorted out immediately. No more waiting for days.” Tracking and loading payments became faster, importing invoices and stock became faster, and — her closing line, the one that captures why a non-clinical voice mattered most:
“DigiVet is designed to make vets and support staff’s work days easier and more efficient.”
When we asked if a vet friend should switch, Rianne’s answer was two words: Definitely yes. Dr. Tiffin’s was three: No going back. Dr. MacRae’s: I will definitely recommend DigiVet to friends. Alexandra’s: I would highly recommend it.
